Randy-Gay Rinker Brown

Born in Wenatchee, Wa and grew up between Waterville and Spokane. Family settled in Spokane when I was 5 years old. Went to various grade schools Glover Jr. High and of course Shadle Park High School. Attended college in Denver, Colorado and in Colville, WA. During the Veit Nam War we lived in Pearl Harbor, HI and Guam. Came back to Spokane and in 1972 we moved to Colville, WA. When Casey started school I started selling Avon which was a wonderful introduction to the Colville area. I met very wonderful people that I would not have access to other wise. My husband at that time (Wayne R. King Sr.) worked for Tripp Construction as a Catapillar Mechanic and I went on to manage or operate several Jewelry Stores in the Colville area. He started his own business King Service and Welding. Bob joined us when he was 13 and both boys attended Colville grade, Jr, and High Schools. Wayne and I divorced and I remained single for 6 years. I then married Iven M. Brown and at that time he had a granddaghter (14 years old)living with him do to his wife passing away. Shannon and shortly after her cousin Shelbea (also 14 years old) joined us. What a wonderful advneture helping to raise 2 girls after boys. I also inhearted 3 other grandchildren who are a delight. The Grands have given us 11 Greatgrand children. I went to work at Rural Resources Community Action for 17 years. Rural Resources is a non-profit simular to Spokane's SNAP. There I worked as an assistant to one of the Division Directors and then went on to head up several different projects. Since housing was one of our projects I was asked to managed one of our apartment housing projects. Upon my retirement my husband and I sold our home and moved to Kettle Falls close to the Columbia River.
