February 5, 2003 was the official launch date for Classreport. That day was the culmination of nearly 2 years of planning, designing, testing and hair pulling (see Tim's photo.)
While working to organize names and addresses for his 30 year high school reunion, Tim grew frustrated working with scraps of paper and hand-me-down lists that were 5, 10, even 20 years old! Many people had not even been notified of past reunions.
Since they had built a successful database development business by taking their client's chaos and producing order, Tim and Barbara decided to put those same skills to work solving Tim's class reunion crisis.
The first school online was Tim's high school, Truman High School in Independence, MO. Next was Barbara's high school in Michigan, then Tim's Mother's high school in Olympia, WA. From there it spread to Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, friends and so on.
Classreport has always been a family run business and has benefitted from the work of many of our friends and family. Continuing with the family run theme, Tim and Barb passed the daily operations to their nephew, Jeremy Gard, in late 2018. He has worked with Tim and Barb on Classreport over the last 10+ years with development, technical management and general support and advice. Jeremy hopes to build on his professional experience to continue to improve Classreport and to always provide the best crowd funded class reunion websites for all classes in all schools.
