Today's Featured Biography
Mary Murphy McDaniel
I married a Florida rancher in 1978, (hence the name McDaniel). I have three fabulous, loving children from that marriage, Olivia, October of 1979, Elizabeth, February of 1982, and Robert, May of 1987. After 16 years of marriage I filed for divorce (the most difficult thing I ever had to do). It took 7-years. I do not have one regret. I have joy in my life, and myself back again.
I Moved back to West Palm and decided to go back to school. I am currently a State licensed title agent (close loans and sales/ refinances/ issue title policies insuring loans and ownership.) This profession isn’t without its moments of intense stress and/or pressure; but I love it, because in the end it is about people.
I bought a house built in 1936, originally from Hillcrest (Hollywood Road) and moved in 1992, a little further east (Still in WPB Historic area). I didn’t move it, but bought it from the individual who did. After moving in, I discovered, this is the house Carole Healey (class of ’77) grew up in, how crazy is that? I feel as though I have come full circle.
I love gardening, home improvements, cooking, and entertaining friends and family, this is how I relax and have fun.
My children, now grown, Olivia, in nursing school, Elizabeth, married, a graduate of UM, a teacher, and owner of a pre-school, Robert, a college student (he still has some maturing to do) but is a good hearted sole. Life is precious, life is good, joie de vivre……………….XXXXXOOOOOOO, SWAK!
