After earning my BA from Muhlenberg College where I majored in Psychology and Elementary Education, I moved to North Carolina. I spent a year as an intern serving as a program specialist traveling all over the state. I soon realized I couldn’t live on the salary so I returned to PA to take a teaching position at Nitschmann Middle School the following year. In 1993, I married Paul, my high school pen pal from the infamous Miss Tilly’s $1 IYS French class scheme. (Yes, I know I was supposed to write to someone in a French speaking country, however, my pencil filled in the UK bubble instead). Paul is from Nottingham, England and has turned me into an avid football (soccer) fan and we both love to travel.
Along the way, I have earned two Master’s Degrees, an MA in Elementary Education from Kutztown University and an MS is Education Technology from Wilkes University. I currently serve as a technology and gifted support teacher at East Hills Middle School in Bethlehem. I am also a Branch Leader for the Longaberger Basket Company where I manage a group of sales consultants from all over the United States. Ten years later, my side job has developed into a second full time job doing shows, fundraisers, bus trips and taking care of all my recruits! After working with middle school students during the day, it is nice to have some adult interaction while doing something I enjoy!
