You might remember a girl who sang "Climb every Mountain" at the graduation ceremony and wrote in her yearbook that she wanted to become an opera singer and travel the world. Well, that was me and I accomplished much of all that was dear to my heart.
After graduation, I spent 2 yrs at UBC and then in 1989 moved to Quebec City to study voice and francais at Universite de Laval. In 1991, I auditioned and got in the Canadian touring company of Lloyd Webber's musical "The Phantom of the Opera". After 2 years on the road and singing 8 shows a week, I got back to serious music.
I started to compete nationally and internationally, winning many awards and grants, most notably the New York Metropolitan Opera in 1995. After that came the contracts and I have been singing on international stages ever since. My most important engagements have included Milan's La Scala in Italy, the Glyndebourne Festival in England, the Paris Opera in France, the New York City Opera, Grand Theatre de Geneve in Switzerland etc. where I have been singing leading roles, specializing in the coloratura repertoire. I have made several recordings and have been featured many times on CBC radio and television. My performance of "Lakme" last year at Opera de Montreal was broadcast worldwide this spring.
I have been married for the last 13 years to the same wonderful man and we have a beautiful home in Montreal. Last year, we became proud parents to Lorina who keeps us busy and entertained. She is a joy and being her mom is the best role I have had so far! It's been tricky to juggle my demanding career and a new family but it is all worth it.
My parents live in White Rock now and we enjoy coming back to visit them as well as the wonderful mountains and the ocean that I miss. I hope to catch up on the last 20 years at the reunion. (Where did all those years go?)I didn't keep up with my old schoolmates but I am hoping to see familiar faces and hearing everyone's stories before I head out to Santiago, Chile for my performances of Mozart's Magic Flute there in October.
See you soon.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
