During his service in the Army Security Agency, a branch of Military Intelligence, he spent 18 months overseas, from January 1966 – June 1967, and the balance in school, as either a student,or as an instructor at Ft. The ASA was disbanded by President R. Nixon in 1972, during his rearrangement of the entire U.S. Military Intelligence Services, along with General Westmorland. Best of friends!
Ed married his high school sweetheart, Laura Ann Dauphinias in Lowell, Massachusetts on June 23, 1967.
On leaving the military Ed & Laura moved to the Newark, Ohio area, where they bought a home and raised 3 superior children! Brian Jude, Christine Ann, Cynthia Ann.
Ed went to work as an electronic tester at Western Electric in Columbus, Ohio.
Two years later he tested and interviewed for a joint 4-year Electrical Apprenticeship with the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers & Owens Corning Fiberglass Co. in

relocate to Mexico. While they were in process of moving out Ed Sold his 65 acre Farm & began a Job search.

Thinking there was no way that the "Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory" would relocate out of the country, & having held a Top Secret/security clearance in the Army, Ed applied there and was hired! He spent the following 9+ years helping to Maintain the Facility Electrical System (120vac - 40KV)
Single Phase/3 Phase, troubleshooting/repair work he truly enjoyed.
Ed & Laura bought a home in Tracy, California where they finally retired.
After retirement Ed developed a penchant for target shooting with his Ruger .22LR Target Pistol with a Red Dot Target scope which was his retirement present to himself and visited the Tracy Rifle and Pistol Range to burn up 100 rounds per week.
