Today's Featured Biography
Judi McCullough (CHS FRIEND)
Attended Canal Zone schools in Margarita and Cristobal till 1952.
Stateside in Ohio till the last 8 weeks of Senior year, finished at Balboa High.
Canal Zone Junior College graduate, 1959.
Met my ex-husband in Atlanta, while doing an internship to be a Medical
Technologist.
We have two daughters, two grandchildren (girl and boy).
I worked for 40 years as a medical technologist; the last 20 years as a
Hematology Specialist at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Florida.
In 2004, I became a medical missionary with the Medical Mission Project of
Panama for the Episcopal Church. Prior to Panama, I studied Spanish in Costa Rica.
We have a church and Clinic in Teca, near Puerto Armuelles and another clinic in Machuca, near Penonome. My main work is to perform simple laboratory tests and to fill pharmacy prescriptions.
We have teams from the states coming down once a year to do 3-day clinics in various other provinces of Panama. I help to host these teams. December, 2005, I moved to Potrerillos, Chiriqui, to be closer to Teca. I also teach the children of Teca about God, using DVD's and teach songs.
