Today's Featured Biography
Rebecca Theim
Rebecca/Becky has spent 18 of the 27 years since GHS graduation living in Chicago.
Rebecca has worked as Director of Communications for UPM North America, the North American operations of the Helsinki-headquartered paper manufacturer; as Corporate Communications Director for Playboy Enterprises (yes, she's been to the Playboy Mansion, but only during daylight hours) and Britannica.com, and as a newspaper reporter for several metropolitan dailies.
Among the papers she worked for was The Times-Picayune of New Orleans, where she covered everything from City Hall to the (then) deadliest crash in Amtrak history to the gubernatorial campaign of former Ku Klux Klan leader David Duke.
Besides a Master's degree from Northwestern University in Integrated Marketing Communications, Rebecca holds a BS in Journalism from the university and an MA from The Ohio State University, which she earned while completing the Kiplinger Midcareer Program in Public Affairs Reporting, a fellowship endowed by the Kiplinger media family.
Rebecca is Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Chicago Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America. She is married to George Molnar, director of engineering and operations for Chicago's Univision affiliate. They are the proud parents of Woodward, a dappled Dachshund.
