Today's Featured Biography
Jessie McCart
After high school I went to ASU, then U of A; then, Mike Dedmore and I got married. We stayed in Tucson a few years (daughter Traci was born in Tucson), then we moved back to Prescott. Mike and his brother Pat went to work in the family business for a time. I worked at Whipple. We decided to move to Montana where my family is originally from and lived there 12 years. Our 3 sons were born in MT. I continued to work in the medical field, Mike worked for either architectural firms or engineering firms. We bought equipment from a bronze foundry that was going out of business and set up a bronze foundry in our garage. (Mike had taken classes at Noggle Bronze Foundry in Prescott). Mike divided his time between architecture and creating and casting bronzes. We moved back to AZ in 1985 where we both continued on the same career paths, although our marriage broke up. Mike moved to WI and then to FL. I remained in the Mesa area and went to work at Mayo Clinic in 1988 where I have remained. I am a Quality Assurance Specialist in the Medical Transcription Department. The kids have grown up. Traci, her husband, and 3 children (daughter 16, and twin 4-year-old sons) have moved back to MT. Dustin is an officer in the Air Force. He is at Layton AFB now, married, and has two daughters 10 and 6. Adam joined the Air Force and ended up in Alaska, married, and has stayed there and works for AT&T. He has a daughter 7 and son 5. Youngest son Nathan is still here in AZ, married with a daughter 2. In my spare time I have done quite a bit of traveling--Hawaii three times, New Zealand, Alaska, and Montana whenever possible. I married Vic Smith who is a retired engineer in 2008 and moved to Flagstaff. I retired from Mayo as of 12/31/10, tried retirement for 1 year, went back to work part-time, then fulltime at The Guidance Center in Flagstafff. I will try retirement again later, guess I was not ready!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
