Today's Featured Biography
Sharon Lundy Kinney
After Graduation from HS, I attended Cypress College and recieved my AA in fine arts. I worked at Disneyland in the Magic Shop while attending school and learned magic and puppetry then.
Later I attended Cal State Bakersfield and majored in Graphic Design with my BA. My company Persuasive Communications has been operational in Bakersfield, CA. for over 20 years.
I trained professionally as a magician and apprenticed almost 8 years under a old vaudevilian, who headlined in Las Vegas. I am a member of the Magic Castle in Hollywood.
My performances include puppetry and magic. Right now my major emphasis is school and library shows. I do shows in recycling, reading, dental health and healthy eating.
Before marriage my husband and I taught art classes in Tepatitlan in Mexico for a short time. We have been married almost 30 years. Our daughter is now 25.
Three years ago my husband retired from being an attorney 8-5 and exchanged it for running a law school. He also still practices law. They just don't retire.
Our family went to europe 2 yrs ago and visited England, France, Amsterdam and Belgium. We hope to be visiting Italy this next year as soon as we brush up on Italian.
I enrolled in law school and in a few years will be taking the Senior Bar in California. I will be in my 60's when I graduate from law school.
Mr Siriani, and my Government teacher at Magnolia HS were my biggest influences in my life from the school.
Today, I am a mom, a Magician and a law student at John William University - School of Law in Bakersfield, CA.
I was given encouragement at my high school to succeed.
In Jr. High I was told the best thing I could hope for was to get married , have children and be supported. My Jr. high school counselor thought I was stupid and would be lucky if I could graduate from High School.
Wish I could find him today. I can assure you I make a whole lot more money than he did, and am working on my Juris Doctorate. Find your dream and make it happen!!
