Today's Featured Biography
Carrie Holcomb Jacobs
I took extra classes my junior year and actually graduated in 1974, a year early. I met Michael a few years later and got married in March of 1977. We had our first child, David almost 2 years later and then 20 months later had our second child, Amy. We moved to Missouri in "82, when they were small. My husband worked for Ford Motor Co., in CA., as a pipefitter, but when they closed he transfered to the St Louis plant where he has almost enough time in to retire. He is looking forward to that within the next year or two, maybe getting a part time job. I have been blessed to be able to stay at home with my kids. I home schooled the first two. Our youngest, Angela, who is 13 and in 7th grade, has been going to a private Christian school. I just started working at the daycare at the same facility. I love babies so my job is fun!
Our oldest daughter, Amy, is married and has given us two beautiful grandaughters, Nikki Marie, 5 and Alyana Grace, 4. They live only a few miles from us so we see them often. Our son, David is not married but has a son, Phoenix Michael who is 3. We currently have guardianship of Phoenix. That keeps our lives busy but he has been a blessing! It's hard to believe we are old enough to be grandparents but we LOVE it!!!
We have attended Calvary Chapel Church, Troy for 14 years now. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, camping, fishing, gardening, scrapbooking.
God has truly blessed my life with a wonderful family and great friends, old and new. I would love to hear from any of you who went to school with me.
