Janis (Jan) Dorris Brown
My husband and I moved back to Jonesboro in'93 after my Father passed away. We lived in Hawthorne for some time before moving back here. I was born here, my husband is from
Mo,we met in Blythville, Arkansas, My Mother is still living here in Jonesboro.
I managed Apartment Buildings for 16 1/2 yrs, and worked as "one gir office" person for 2 companies . I became disable in 1990,when I had a accident and durring many test we found out that I also had Multiple Sclerosis. I had my first stroke '98 then in 2000 had my second one, then in 2001 I had my first heartatack, and another in 2002 the 2nd one when they also found out I have a lug disease call Interstitial Fibrosis, which means my lugs are like cotton fiber and harding. I'm on oxygen 24 X 7..and breathing treatments 3 times aday. Also in wheelchair from the M.S. But I'm still very lucky I still can talk, have my eyesite and a wonderful family.
My husband and I have 3 granddaughters, Myretha and husband William live in Popular Bluff, Mo. their ages are 7,6,4, we had a granddaughter 3 months old died of crib death in 2001.Second daughter isn't married,a nurse.
We are a very happy family and loving one even though we have had many mountains to climb..
I would love to hear from any of my classmates who remembers me or not...I don't get out much and would love to hear from you.! Hawthorne High was the best school I ever went to and the people were so friendly and nice...GREAT MEMORIES !!! of HAWTHORNE HIGH !
