Vicki Osborne Falke

I went to MPC for a year after graduating from PGHS. I married and had two boys Bret and Stephen. After divorcing four years later I renewed a friendship with Dennis Falke. He had just returned from Vietnam and we spent many hours talking. We have a long standing joke that you need to be careful of those friends. We moved to Port Angeles Washington in 1971 and lived there for about four years. My father and mother had moved to Bandon, Or and they encouraged us to come to Bandon. My Dad had bought a commercial fishing boat and wanted Den to fish with him. We didn’t like Port Angeles so we moved to Bandon and have been in the same house since.
I went to work in the seafood industry as a salesperson and remained in the industry for 25 years. After 25 years talking about fish I decided to do something different so I got my real estate license and became a realtor for Century 21. I became their principal broker and office manager for three satellite offices. After about 6 years in real estate First American Title offered me a job as escrow officer and office manager for their Bandon office. It meant for the first time in years that I could work in Bandon.
We were busy with two boys and they were involved in every sport known to man. The kids went off to University of Oregon and Den and I had fun fishing for salmon, going to Indy car races and Point Man Ministries.
I retired from First American Title in 2004 when Den was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. He is doing pretty well but our plans to travel were stopped. God puts you where He wants you and Den and I are happy and content. We love watching the Oregon Ducks football and basketball, the SF Giants (I never thought I’d watch baseball). Our kids are good to come to us and we see them often.
Life since high school has been good. Our boys are successful and happily married. We have two wonderful daughter-in-laws and granddaughters. Our marriage has been 42 years of spending my time with not only the love of my life but my best friend. We share our love of Jesus Christ and He has always been the center of our home. We have a Jewish Mesusa on our front door that has this scripture from Joshua 24:15. “As for me and my house we will serve the Lord.” That pretty much says it all.
