Today's Featured Biography
Sheryl Mitchem Ihde
I met my husband, Jeff Ihde while he was stationed at McClellan AFB. He discharged from the AF in 1988 and we moved to Wisconsin and got married. We were married 20 yrs in June of 2009.
We have two beautiful children, Breanna (1991) and Dylan (1995). Breanna is a freshman at UW-Eau Claire majoring in Chemistry and Biology. She is a proud member of the UW-Eau Claire BluGold Marching band and plays the clarinet. Dylan is a freshman in high school. He is participating in his first school play/musical with a small part. He also races gokarts and will be moving up to a street stock car in 2010. He also plays the trumpet for the Hortonville High School Marching Band.
Jeff and I both went back to college and Jeff graduated with his Electrical/Manufacturing Engineering Degree (BS) and I received my degree in Computer Science/Business Administration (BA).
I also have started to pursue my passion of photography and work on the side taking portraits. During the day, I work as a Project Manager for RR Donnelley in Greenville, WI.
I try to stay active with my kids, so in the winter we enjoy cross country skiing, snow shoeing, downhill skiing, snow boarding and snow ball fights. In the summer we enjoy swimming, biking, rollerblading and running. I've completed 10 full marathons and more than 40 half marathons. I'm very slow, but I start and finish, and for me that is important.
I am also a huge LSU Tigers football fan and try to get to two home games per year! I honestly know next to nothing about football but love to cheer the LSU Tigers on! Geaux Tigers!
We've also added two more beautiful members to our family, our babies, Crimson (6 yr old Chocolate Lab) and Harley (5 yr old Golden Retriever).
