Today's Featured Biography
Shannon Smyth Loranger
Dang... 30 years! Where has it gone??
Ok, I will attempt to put it in a nutshell of sorts!
Got married soon after graduation. (5 mos after!) Started a family pretty quickly. 4 children, 3 boys then my beautiful daughter!
My oldest, Chris got married April 2008 and has re-enlisted into the Army, getting his Sgt. rank back. He served in Iraq a few years ago and came home to his very grateful family. We all worried while he was there and I truly believe all the thoughts and prayers of friends and family kept him safe.
He and his wife Rachelle are expecting their first child (my FIRST grandbaby!) January 2010!
My #2 Dale is managing at a Taco Bell and is hoping to run his own business soon. He has a beautiful wife, Elena who is from El Salvador, she has 3 children and one grandbaby! Does that make me a Great- Grandma??
My #3 Alex is my musical genius and we are trying to corral that energy into something positive, like school!
(Yes, he is a challenge!)
My youngest is Kelly, the only girl, graduated high school 2008. She has finished one year at the SRJC. Her talent is in the Performing Arts. Singing, acting and dancing. She is also a very talented writer and I see her going far!
I divorced after 21 yrs of marriage.
Yes, this all makes me feel old as hell! I am a very proud mama to this wild bunch as they are all very decent and loving human beings. They are my hero's.
As for myself, I worked in the Mortgage industry for several years and am now self employed cleaning houses! I also work in a commercial kitchen part time doing production work and deliveries. Far cry from the glamour of the Mortgage business, but I enjoy it. It gives me the freedom to be there for my kids when they need me. I am a mom first and foremost.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the reunion! Drop me a line if you wish! I would love to hear from "old" friends!!
