30th was a big success!

Today's Featured Biography
Sharla Porter Reed
After High School, graduated from Mendo, went to CSU Fresno for a year, then graduated from CSU Sacramento. With a BA in Interior Design. Did you notice that I work at a bank!! I have lived in Carmichael, Citrus Heights, Roseville, Sparks NV., Modesto, Woodland, Lucerne, Redwood Valley and Ukiah.
I did not return to Ukiah until 1991 to begin a new life as a single Mom. Worked at PV Ranch & Home, which was a farm/ranch supply store. Fell in love again and had my son Nathan and then started work at Savings Bank. I have been there since 1993. Got married again in 1998, bought a house in Lucerne (the Switzerland of America) Oh Yeah! Then couldn't take the commut or the marriage any longer and once again was a single mom. Moved to Redwood Valley and loved every minute of it.
Three years ago I thought being married again was a good idea but sanity overcame and I got over that! So it is me and my two great kids. Jenae is going to be a Senior and Nathan is just entering Ukiah High. Seems just like yesterday that they were little and listened to me!!
Keep busy with kids activities and yard work (housework? you must be kidding!). Jenae plays softball for the High School and a summer traveling team. Nathan is going to play Freshmen football this year and I am going to take a welding class at the college! I want to make all those great arches and plant hangers that cost way too much at the boutique's, well, we will see. Hopefully I dont' set myself or anyone else on fire!
It was great seeing everyone at the reunion last week. We had so much fun on the committee I think I will be having withdrawals from not going to our meetings.
For all of you who rememeber my Mom - JoAnn the hairdresser, she has moved her shop as the family home sold last year. She is 74 and still cutting and curling!
