Linda "Hazel" Aldred Witt
I am in need of a kidney transplant!
After High School, I went to CSU. I was only able to finish 2 quarters, when I took sick with hypothyroidism. I married my husband Aug 31, 1973. (over 40 years ago!!!!)
He was in the Army at the time. We traveled to AK, KY, and lastly WA where he retired and we settled in to raise our daughter who was born Aug 15, 1979.
I worked for the state of WA DSHS and Labor and Industries department. My job was to pay benefits. At DSHS, those benefits were medial assistance, food stamps, and public assistance. At Labor and Industries I paid workman's comp and authorized medical treatment and vocational retraining. At L&I, I worked on a computer project that introduced digital imaging for file management. Our project was a great success and the micrographics section was phased out. Because of my work on the project, my job classification changed and I was a IT specialist.
My last job for WA State was an IT speciaalist supervisor and project manager at the menatal hospital (Western State Hospital). It is he largest mental hospital West of the Missssippi. It was there that I took sick again. Thisw time it was my autoimmune hepatitis that had finally ruined my liver. I was given a notice from the doctor that I had 5 years to live or have a transplant. I chose to go on the transplant list. I worked until the day of the transplant (June 25 2001). I went out on sick leave. Withe the donations of time from my coworkers at the hospital, I was aable to stay on the payroll until late 2003. At that time, I retired medically.
The medications for the transplant has ruined my kidneys. Now I am on dialysis 3 times a week and am awaiting a trnsplant kidney.
In my off time, I am chasing my gradkids who live with their parents at my house. Yes, ther are 6 of us 2 grandsons, 2 kids and the 2 of us! My grandsons are the light of our lives. There is Cyrus who is 13 going on 28, and Griffin who is calm at 7.
We have a few chickens, ducks turkeys, geese, rabbits, a cat and 3 dogs. Living on a small farm in Pierce County WA. Trying to make the most of the live that has been given to me. I find getting old is hard ~ it sure ain't for sissys! veryday I find an ew ache and poain. Grandpa said it was that way, but I was a kid then and didn't believe him. Wow if I only knew, I'd taken better care of myself back then!

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
