Today's Featured Biography
Patricia Wollbrinck Lang
My husband, Gary, and I were married in 1968. I attended Metro State in Denver, graduated with a Major in History a Dual Minor in Political Science and Anthropology and a secondary teaching certificate. We bought a farm in Delta, Colorado and moved in June of 1975. I coordinated the Right to Read and Supplemental Services Programs at the Delta Montrose Area Vocational Center, went back to school, attending Western States College, in Gunnison, graduating with my MA in Special Education.
I owned and operated a residential treatment facility for boys between the ages of 11 and 18 and taught in the on grounds school for 10 years. Sold the business, ran for county commissioner, lost the election and retruned to education. Worked with adult offenders, assisting then in obtaining their GED for two years, taught special education in Mesa County for two years, and am currently teaching special needs students in a virtual environment.
My husband of 39 years, is an Agricultural Water Disbursment Egineer, delivering and monitoring agriculture water to farmers in rural western Colorado. He has been doing this for almost 30 years.
Our oldest daughter Rayleene has one daughter age 16, and works for a fishing reel company in Montrose. Jarrod our son is married has three daughters and owns a trucking business that hauls water to and from gas wells along I-70 in Western, Colorado. He and his wife also own the Valley Ranch and Supply Store in Collburn, Colorado. Tabitha our youngest, is married has two children, a boy and a girl, and is a Child Progection Case Worker for Delta, County.
That's life since graduation in a nutshell.
