13Jul12....and so it begins at the Piedmont......where the good time was started by all!!!
After a good nights rest for most ('those that hoot with the owls at night cannot soar with the eagles by day !!!) a Saturday tour of the NEW Darien High School!!! Followed by some softball and tailgating!!! Most went home to rest up for an evening of fun at the WeeBurn Country Club where everyone who was anyone attended!!!! Sunday provided a relaxing day at Weed Beach.....more to follow with picture commentary .... Real Soon!!!

Today's Featured Biography
David White
Congratulations to all on our 50th high school graduation anniversary! I hope that you are all in good health and have had a great life!
At DHS, it was hard to imagine who or where we would be 50 years into the future. Would we remember The Beatles, The Dead , CSN&Y or RMN? But now 50 years later, the memories are still vivid! Such is life.
After graduating DHS, I received a BA and MS in biology fields. I loved the outdoors and hoped that I could make a career out of it. Reality set in and I looked for environmental positions in the timber, mining and oil industry industries. I was offered a job in the oil industry initially in environmental but then I switched to become an engineer working in production, construction, exploration and reservoir. With my wife Sue, who I met while in graduate school and then married, we spent the first half of our career in Louisiana. Then the last half was spent overseas in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
What an experience! Working in an industry that I had to learn from scratch and in cultures that were new to me. We also had great recreational opportunities doing numerous ski tours in Europe, mountain and road biking trips in Africa and Europe.
After 30 years, in 2011, we retired to Bend, Oregon. What a great place to continue our pursuits in skiing and biking, and we are fortunate to be in excellent health to enjoy these sports.
Our son took to adventure also. After University, he worked in China for 10 years as a brew master. When Covid hit, he left with his wife to be and eventually ending up brewing in Montana!
I hope you all have had a wonderful life. No doubt you have grown so much that we may not even recognize each other if we met.
And thus our lives exempt from public haunt find sermons in stone books in running brooks and good in everything.
