Today's Featured Biography
Devrae McCants
After graduating from Banneker SHS, I attended Temple University for two and a half years but decided to move to New York City to persue a career in entertainment. I set up shop in the Bronx and have been here for almost six years. I have made a few strives toward my carer goals. So far, I have had a lenghthy stint in a Funk/R&B/Hip Hop band called GDQ, who performed invarious clubs in the city. We have been broken up for a year now. I have also been the voice of various commercial jungles that have appeared nationwide. In 2004 I decided to receive some musical training so I am now attending college again with studies in music, theatre and psychology. All of which I think will help me master my craft. New York has been a great and lively experience and has helped me mature as a person. Right now, in addition to attending school, I work as the Office Manager/Accountant for a Boutique accounting firm that specializes in accounting for freelance artist and people in entertainment. We also do Trust and Estates. It is a great job for someone who doesn't like to work but has to.
All in all, I am having a great life here in the city even though I miss DC terribly. Presently I am not married and have no kids. Hope to see all of you soon.
