We are gearing up for two fun filled evenings. Friday night, September 1, 2006 will begin as you enter our “Island Paradise” on the famous Fort Lauderdale Intracoastal Waterway. You will receive a gift package upon arrival. Inside you will find everything to make a great evening. Relax with a frozen Tropical drink (or any drink) and enjoy hot and cold hors d’oeuvres from the buffet boat along with games and prizes while you encounter friends from the good ole’ days at Cooper City High School. No reason to worry if you will recognize anyone because we have a plan. The “Island Paradise Luau” fun begins at 7:00 PM and you won’t want to miss one minute so make plans to be there on time. With the décor, the DJ and the music, you will think you walked into a real Island Paradise and all your friends are there.
Then get ready for Saturday night in the big ballroom. You will be guided to the registration desk where you will be given your ticket to a great time. Your packet will include a name badge with a dinner key, door prize ticket, Alumni directory, drink ticket, commemorative item to mark the big day and much more. From there you may have your personal portrait taken by John Stillman Photography, have a cocktail or mingle and enjoy the beautiful view from the world renowned Bahia Mar Resort. The Round-up Ho-Down begins when you hear the cow bells ring. As you enter the ballroom that has been transformed into a Cowboy Ranch, please pick a seat and let’s get started. Up first are the group photos for each class. Please make sure you are in the CCHS Ranch (the big ballroom) when your class is called because you don’t want to be left out of your class group photo. Our special guests will join us for each class photo as we begin a fun filled evening. Our DJ is the best around (and you will know who he is) Dinner will be served and we will hear from our “special guest”…can you guess who they are?…and class representatives. Please feel free to mingle and see who is in attendance. Awards and prizes are up next along with the “big give away”….shhhh, we don’t want anyone to know what the big give away is! Then it’s time to dance to the music because before you know it, the evening will come to a close so please take this opportunity to come and spend some time with your friends. There will be plenty of Alumni, so have fun and enjoy reminiscing about the good times at Cooper City High School. (I can honestly say I have had so many Alumni tell me that wished they would have attended because they missed seeing that one special person and they will never have the opportunity to do so again.)

To clarify why the tickets are not transferable: There have been problems in the past by Alumni trading their ticket with someone else, not telling the committee and then arriving late. The Reunion came to a halt because of this problem in the lobby. Gift packets are prepared with you in mind. If we have to change the recipient it means we have to start over with the packet.

To clarify why the tickets are not refundable after July 31, 2006: Final payments to the hotel, DJ, decorations, etc. are due one month in advance of our function. By then, you should know if you are attending or not and we need to have our finance’s in order.
