Today's Featured Biography
Andrew Acevedo
After high school, I studied theater at Miami-Dade Community College and served 6 years with the Florida Army Reserve-National Guard.
Briefly danced on the S. Florida TV show Video Music Marathon and then relocated to NY. Worked in various food establishments, retail operations, The Times Square Virgin Megastore, ran a trendy TriBeCa cinema, performed as an actor in student and indie films, community theater and produced, wrote, directed and starred in two off-Broadway showcases, and appeared in New York Mystery for Nipon Television, Japan.
I've also served as an artist's model (for various comic book characters), written 3 screenplays, studied writing comics and graphic novels at NYU and appeared as an extra in Krush Groove, Malcolm X, Carlito's Way and Tanner on Tanner (produced by Robert Redford, directed by Robert Altman and starring Cynthia Nixon), and recently had a pair of 8-page comic book stories published by Atlas Unleashed.
I currently live in a veterans' residence in the Bronx.
