Today's Featured Biography
Albert Ferrera
I have been fortunate since graduating from Jefferson High. I joined the Marine Corps Reserve in 1987. I served in Saudi Arabia and Kuwait during Operations Desert Shield and Storm in 1990 and 1991, and was discharged in 1994. During that time I attended and earned a BA in History from the University of South Florida in 1994. I then attended law school the Florida State University. I earned my law degree and membership to the Florida Bar Association in 1997.
After graduating law school, I was an associate with 2 law firms in Tallahassee and Sarasota representing employers in Labor and Employment matters. In 1999, I moved to Tampa to practice with a firm defending nursing homes and Assisted Living facilities in cases of alleged abuse and neglect. In 2010, I became a member of Morgan & Morgan in Tampa. At Morgan & Morgan, I sue many of the same nursing homes and ALFs that I used to defend. If anyone ever has a legal question, or would just like to chat, please give me a call. In 1988, I began dating my wife, Michelle. We were married in 1992, and we have three awesome, but hard headed boys - AJ, Michael and Manny. We still live in West Tampa. My oldest attends Blake High, and my other two are Lake Magdelene Elementary students in Carrollwood, where my wife is the Media Specialist.
I keep in touch with a good number of our classmates and meet up with a few on a regular basis at Rick's on the River and/or Hattrick's. If anyone wants to join us for our next Happy Hour, give me a call.
I look forward to seeing those of you that I haven't seen in some time, and continuing the party with those that I do see on a regular basis. One word of warning though, while at the reunion, DO NOT feed Steve Bazarte any Petron shots - unless of course you like to wrestle on the concrete. Go Dragons!
