I continue to be an Early Childhood Special Education Consultant with AEA and I still am getting paid to play with 3-6 year olds.
We moved from Eagle Grove to Ames three years ago due a job promotion for Bob (he works for Murphy-Brown, a division of Smithfield Foods). AEA moved some things around so I could keep working for them and life has been fine ever since. We love Ames, especially being the eternally optomistic Cyclone fans that we are during the football and basketball seasons.
We have 2 boys that are nearby. Our oldest is in Des Moines and our youngest works here in Ames-so it is easy to see them (especially when they are low on money!)
I don't get back to Waterloo much anymore. My Dad died of colon cancer in 1996 and my Mom died of complications from a stroke in 2004. Without Mom around to catch me up on all the local gossip, I have kind of lost touch with what is going on in Waterloo.
I won't be able to make it to the class reunion due to previous commitments, but I will definitely be with you in spirit for the weekend. Have fun!
