Kevin DeLong

First let me start by saying that I didn't actualy graduate from Madison Heights. I moved away 1.5 yrs. befor graduating. The last 1.5 yrs. were divided up between 3 different high schools. Needless to say, I will never be invited to a class reunion by the school where I did graduate because I only spent a few months there. Everyone that I knew & grew up with graduated at Madison Heights. On the morning of July 24, 1983 I became a born again christian & received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit that evening. I know, I know, I expect that it's nearly impossible for anyone that I knew back then to be able to wrap their brain around such a foreign concept, but believe me when I say that, for the God whom I serve, nothing is impossible & my salvation proves it! On December 12, 1983 I went to boot camp at the Naval Training Center in Orlando, Fl. After graduating from boot camp, I met my one & only wife, Donna Nelson, at the Pine Hills Church of God. I then Spent 1 yr. jumping from ship to ship, 5 in all, in the Persian Gulf. My remaining yrs. were spent at N.A.S. JAX Jacksonville, Fl., as an aircraft electrician working on P3 Orions. I got out of the navy February 11, 1988. On April 16, 1988, I married Donna. Today being April 28, 2009, we just recently celebrated our 21st. wedding anniversary. In 1991 we had a house built & closed on it October 15th. We waited for 10 yrs., after we'd been married, to have our 1st. child, Brendan Curtis DeLong. He was born on March 11, 1998. He plays violin, cello, & piano. My daughter, Sophia Carissa DeLong, was born on July 28, 2001. She likes art. Now I drive the city bus for Lynx in Orlando, & I am the outreach pastor for the Ocoee Church of God. If we were enemies, we'll laugh about the stupid stuff we used to fight about & pronounce ourselves friends. Almost sounds like being married, doesn't it? (Just a little humour!)
