Today's Featured Biography
Brenda Starr Barnes
Graduated from Van Wert, OH in June of 1978. We had lived in Martinsville, but we moved so my dad could pastor our church in Van Wert. In between graduation and 1986, I went to college and held several different jobs. I moved to MD in 1986 to be a nanny, attended our church in Rockville, MD and met my future husband. We married on June 13, 1987. My dad passed away on Aug. 30, 1987, my wedding was the last place I saw him. They were living in TX at the time, and we were in MD. We stayed in MD for 3 years and then we moved to IN for 8 years. During those 8 years, we were able to adopt our girls. They were 2 and 1 at the time. They are now 14 and 13, one is in high school and the other one is in the 8th grade. They keep us very busy. We were married 8 years before we adopted. In April of 2000 my mom passed away, June of 2001 my father-in-law passed away and April 2002 my grandma passed away. My mother-in-law passed away in May of 1992. My husband and I both thought that we would never lose our parents so soon, but it happened. I still have 2 siblings in Indiana and one in Florida. My maiden name in school was Starr. Yes, my brothers are Charlie and Kevin. Please email me and let me know what you are up to if anyone gets on here and reads this.
