Today's Featured Biography
David Debus
After graduating from Sumner, I sold most of my belongings and moved to California to start attending the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA. I did fairly well, but soon I was out of money and out of luck. I wondered aimlessly for about a year and then found a job at a technology company called eLogic - During this time I refocused my life and got involved with a woman (now my wife) named Kristine (Kris) - The company sold a few years later for $79 million dollars. I got a whole lot of money from this and a whole lot while I was working there. But being so young (like 21) I was stupid and went and partied and spent it all like a fool. During this time my best friend from high school (he was only at Sumner in 8th grade then ended up at Wyandotte High School) - Russell J. Otto moved out to California with me. We've all gone through some hard times. Kris and I were married on June 3, 2000. Our only child Gavin was born on Feb 3, 2004. At the time we were living in a small 2 bedroom apartment in Van Nuys, CA. - We've since moved to a suburb of Austin, TX and have never had more opportunity present itself. My wife works at a golf marketing company called CourseTrends and I'm a User Experience Designer at a software company called Actian.
