Today's Featured Biography
Robert Davis
Raised thru sophomore year on Bolivar St. The classmates living within three city blocks were: Red Gillis, Charlie Boarman, Lee Bidwell, Bill Morton, Mickey Cecil, Nancy and Natalie Boone, Dottie Monarch, Linda Hurst, Ed Tichenor, Bill Johnson and the Hartz sisters.
After 4 years of HS Latin and 2 years of college, volunteered for USN in 1962. Assigned to NORAD aboard USSLookout AGR-2 (30 days at sea then 10 days replenish repeat) as electronic tech. radar. President Johnson extended me 3 months aboard USS Forestal. Discharged in 1966. Married my dream girl (Marian McPherson �61) in 1968 while attending night school at Brescia in Chemistry. Brian born in '69. Steve, Adam and Valerie soon followed. Blessings! Graduated in '72 and quit as microwave electronic specialist at GE and hired as lab supervisor for National Alumnum. After 4 yrs. hired as plant chemist/supervisor at Big Rivers Electric progressed after schooling to senior performance engineer then retired from LG&E as senior mechanical engineer. Retired in 2004 and enjoying every bit with my dream girl.
