Today's Featured Biography
RONALD SCALLAN
My name is Ronald Anthony Scallan, I am 64 years old and retired on January 7, 2000 after 37 years of service with
W. S. Nelson Company of New Orleans, Louisiana as an mechanical, civil and electrical draftsman. I was married 36 years to Lynn Calcagno Scallan my high school sweetheart. Lynn died on November 7, 1997 after suffering for 16 years with Progressive Multiple Sclerosis.
I went to jail for trying to help my loving wife Lynn. I was arrested on December 9, 1994 for questioning the " F B I's " in house security while trying to get my guns back. I was sent to a federal prison on " Con - Air " ( Not Like The Movie ) to Petersburg, Va. for my court ordered psychiatric evaluation. I passed with " Flying Colors " and was sent back home in about thirty days. I was sent back to New Orleans on the same " Con - Air " plane " Cuffed and Shackled Again ", with a bag lunch to boot.
On arrival back home the U. S Marshals returned me to " Orleans Parish Prison ". I was still not charged with a " Crime " yet, just arrested for acting out my so called
" FREEDOM OF SPEECH ", ha, ha. I did get my guns back from these " Jack Booted Government Thugs ", and my five years of probation are up now as of August 16, 2000, Alaska here I come. Well, this is just a part of my story. You can read the book, all 1500 pages worth, it is titled " FOR THE LOVE OF ONE'S MATE -THE BIG F B I CONSPIRACY ". I also have a shorter version I would be glad to send you.
I also want to say I have two children named Toni Lynn and Rhonda Lynn. I have five beautiful grand children, three boys and two girls. I remarried on November 21, 1998 to a wonderful lady named Patricia who lost her husband also. Patricia has two boys of her own and five grand children, four boys and one girl. We are doing a lot of traveling now that we are both retired.
I also stay pretty busy by remodeling our arcadian family home which is about 150 years old in Raceland, La. My mother and eleven sisters and brothers were born their. I have always enjoyed working with my hands and standing back and looking what I have accomplished.
Well, there is a lot more I would like to say, but this is it for now with this limited space, see you guys and take care until 2005 reunion.
