Today's Featured Biography
Catina Armstrong Crossman
Todd and I began dating in 1994. We were engaged in 1995 and have been married since 1996. We just celebrated our 11th anniversary in July 07.
We currently reside in Honor. We built our house in 1998 and continually are busy with some sort of renovating project.
We started our own Plumbing and Heating business in 2004 and it is going wonderful.
I graduated from C.M.U. in 1996 with a Bachelors in science. I have a major in Sociology and Criminal Justice. I minored in Women's Studies. I interned at the Manistee Courthouse in probation and enjoyed it immensely until I became a mom.
Allison was born in 1997, is absolutely beautiful and in the 5th grade. Joseph was born in 1999, handsome and is in the 2nd grade. Todd and I both feel that we have reached yet another milestone. Two kids in school all day!!!! Allison is active in her girl scout troop and softball, recently tried out and made the 3rd grade OM team, girls on the run, and has attended basketball camp with Uncle Brent Crossman in Charlotte. She is an avid reader and is at the top of her class. She is a smart cookie. Joseph loves soccer, and from what we can tell is going to be one heck of an athlete. Joey has also joined a t-ball team as well and boy scouts and is keeping his mom and dad very busy. He also seems to be musically inclined, and Todd and I believe that he will make us wealthy someday.......... :) He is a little math wizard. It is pretty scary-I know he did not get that from his mommy. Mr. Plont, I am sure, would agree with that. :)
I currently am substitute teaching at BCHS and love it. It is really neat to see the changes in the school. Everyone tells me to go back and get my teaching cerificate but I am so content doing what I do. I also am Todd's seceretary and being SUPER mom which is keeping me so busy. Both jobs allow me to be very flexible with Ally and Joey, which allows me to be very hands-on at home. I enjoy the summers off with my children, saving all the paperwork for the evening. :)
In the summer months, you can find the Crossman's on their boat on Platte Lake or camping. In the winter, you can find us snowmobiling at our cabin on Bodi Lake in the U.P. Year round, you will find us playing UNO. Our family plays a mean game of UNO. I have a beautiful home, two beautiful kids, and a wonderful husband. Life is good.
Though I said I NEVER would live in Benzie County, I cannot image living and raising children anywhere else. Most people spend money to vacation here. For us, it's a vacation everyday.
