Today's Featured Biography
Susan Katz
After graduating, I attended the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. I spent my junior year abroad working in a rain forest in Costa Rica. Subsequently, I became a bilingual teacher and spent two years teaching at the American School of Valencia, Spain. I taught overseas and in California for 14 years (becoming a National Board Certified Teacher, NBCT, about 7 years ago) and have since founded my own business-- ConnectingAuthors.com-- bringing children's authors into schools all over the country and the world. We represent over 75 children''s authors for school, library and conference presentations. I am also a children''s book author and illustrator myself, with my first two books due out Fall 2009. MY MAMA HUNG THE MOON FOR ME, Barefoot Books and OLD MACDONALD HAD A GRANJA, Innovative Press will be released soon after our reunion. I live on "poet's hill" in Mill Valley, CA (very close to San Francisco and the Golden Gate Bridge) and recently took a month long trip to Spain, Italy and France. When I am in the country, my free time is spent salsa and samba dancing, cycling and enjoying time with family and friends. Hoping to make it to the reunion, but in the meantime, I have already begun to reconnect with old friends through this site.
