Today's Featured Biography

Michael Lundell

Wow, days at PHS seem like ages ago. Since high school I got my BA degree in journalism and mass communication from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in three years and worked as an investigative reporter and as a treatment specialist for autistic children at the Fraser Center in Minneapolis (wanted to try other things). I then went on to get a masters degree in theology and youth missions from Bethel Seminary, St. Paul, MN. It was there that God really turned my life around. Starting at my days working in campus ministry, I flew to Romania to work in orphan outreach and to cover stories for WCCO. After a lot of prayer and talking to leaders in Romania, I accepted the invitation to work fulltime in youth ministry in Romania. I have been living in Romania for 4 years as a youth pastor and journalist. I love it! Romania has really become home. Working in career missions has been truly humbling, relying on God and the support of friends and churches, but very rewarding just the same. I get back to Minnesota to see family now and then and to talk to supporters.

Not married yet. Still an avid Viking fan and in my spare time (what is that?) I play a lot of semi-professional beach volleyball in a European league. Also teach swimming lessons to Romanian kids from time to time and Romanian language lessons to foreigners.

So yeah, I never thought I would end up on the other side of the world, but am loving life in Romania!
