Today's Featured Biography
Jeannette Parsons Altair
I graduated BHS in 1964 and married my childhood sweetheart in the fall of 1964. We had three children, were married a total of 15 years before we separated and divorced.
After 5 years, I remarried my current husband, Day Altair, and we've been married 28 years this coming August.
Life for me has had up and downs, but my faith has pulled me through and I'm here.
With all life's changes, I managed to complete my ASN at Bakersfield College and worked as an RN in Los Angeles for 2 years before moving back to Bakersfield. I then attended Cal State Bakersfield and receive a certification as a CA PHN, worked home health, married my current husband, worked as a PHN on the Tule Indian Reservation near where we lived in Porterville, CA, and worked as a PHN for Tulare County before retiring in 2008. I loved nursing, but left due to health issues.
Upon my and my husband's retirement, we moved to Enterprise, UT and enjoy the South West's climate.
I have three grandchildren, Blake (13), Madison (12) and Trace (8). My husband and I enjoy traveling to be with our children and our grandchildren.
Day is an avid writer and is finding time to write while he enjoys life and I assist him with his writing and research.
