Today's Featured Biography
Beth Launius Maples
After graduation, I moved to the suburbs of Houston, Texas and have lived here in Kingwood for over 30 years. I went through a divorce in 1991 and decided to go back to school. I went to University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas and graduated in 1996. I have been working as a physician assistant since graduation and I love it. I have been working in psychiatry for the past 8-10 years.
My son, Stephen, went to culinary school in Seattle, Washington and is the executive chef and manager of a wonderful new restaurant in Conroe, Texas, about 45 minutes from home. He is married and has 3 daughters, twins Madelyn and Mikaela, ages 8, and Ella, age 5. They live nearby and I see them every chance I get.
