We’re all probably not very different when it comes to this kind of stuff. We want to tell about every minute of our lives, because every minute has made us who we are,.. so here is my condensed version starting with the most important to the least listed important. I didn’t think I’d live this long, so all this is a total surprise to me. (Not because of medical issues, I was just totally irresponsible and didn’t do anything about it for years and am in total shock as I look back at the last decade).

•    Kathy (Leist) (1989 RSHS graduate) became my life in 1995 and we were married in 1996. (Thank you Paul Hooper for that going away party where Kathy and I re-introduced ourselves and for your serving of others through the Peace Corps.) She has been the reason I live for many years now, and is an inspiration to me and many people in our lives. She gives so much more to life than she’ll ever get,… she’s an angel. And I get to witness that every day!!! What a blessing.

•    With her weird traveling and my weird traveling we have had the opportunity to see each other in many different places in and out of this country, many times meeting each other once we arrived there separately. I don’t know completely how to explain it, but it’s very serene to see a face that you love in a place that you don’t. In those instances the world truly stands still.

•    We have three children. Kaylee (2001), Collin (2002), and Claire (2005).

•    Vasectomy (2005). Yea, TMI, but so valid to be on the list this close to the top.

•    God finally got through to me (2003). Not his faultthat it took that long, completely mine.

•    He nudged me to keep me on track (2006). (Contact me, I’ll be more than happy to share that one with you) (Seriously).

•    Kathy and I decided to co-lead a Disciple Bible study at our church. (Big step for us and our marriage, it’s all good) (2006).

•    Served as an officer and currently serve as a board member for the Kansas City Business Aviation Association. (2003 – Present).

•    Flew a plane by myself for the first time (1992).

•    Naval Reserves, enlisted (1989-1995).

•    Professionally employed as a pilot (Charter, Vanguard, TWA/American Airlines, Corporate) (1995-Present).

•    Bachelors Degree CMSU in Aviation Technology (2 years at Longview, 2 years on Warrensburg campus, 1 year on Pine Street) (finally graduated in 1995).

•    Currently working on a Master of Business Administration with a concentration in Leadership studies from Ottawa University (Proposed graduation, early 2008, haven’t found a “modern day” Pine Street, so that date should stick).

•    Have landed (successfully over 5,000 times, without accident or incident, which is better than I can say for my driving record) in 46 of the 48 contiguous states along with Canada, Mexico, Bahamas, Virgin Islands, and Bermuda, in over 45 different types of aircraft. Amassed over 5,500 hours of flight time, without bending any metal or appendages. {;-)
