Today's Featured Biography
Rebecca Johnson Simmons
I have been married for 14 years, going on 15 in Feburary, my husband, Lance is from Illinois. We currently just moved back in to the house that I grew up in, down on Arrowhead Lake. At this date we have no children, but we do have 5 wonderful "Hoop Sons", Chris Dunbar from Columbia, SC, Charles Robinson and Ronald White from Columbia SC, Ryan Boyd from Dallas, Tx and our current son is Twann Oakley from Memphis, TN. Two of our sons have given us 3 grandchildren. Ok, a you may be asking, What is a Hoop Son? Well we have been Host Parents for the Grizzly Basketball Program for several years now. The players stay in the dorms, but we become their home away from home. Most of the kids have never been away from home for extended periods of time, so we are their support. We are able to give them support while here on campus. Homecooked meals, a place to crash on the weekends when they just need to get away from the dorm. We are trying to have a child of our own, but i would not trade these boys for nothing.
We both like to antique and spend time traveling, fishing and camping. I also like to take pictures, alot of pictures.
