Today's Featured Biography
Beverly Overcash Crosby
After college and until 2005, I lived and worked in Clearwater, (Tampa Bay area) Florida, having served as Director of Admin. and Human Resources, and partner, of the largest independently owned r.e. and financial services company in Florida until the sale of my company to Coldwell Banker, after which I "retired" to pursue a lifelong love of animals. I should have been a veterinarian! Ha! Anyway, I now show and breed beautiful Standard Poodles. I'm trying to stay retired, and say my stock market chants every day.
I returned to my roots (or at least close) in 2005, leaving the heat, humidity and hurricanes of Florida behind to live in the foothills of upstate South Carolina, in the Greenville/Travelers Rest area. I wanted to be near the mountains but not in them. I'm just 45 minutes from Asheville. I am absolutely loving having four seasons again, though I can't say I missed raking leaves! And, I have to say I'm not too fond of ice storms - I arrived here about six weeks in advance of that "100 yr ice storm" of Dec. 2005. I've spent the last year remodeling the home I purchased here, slowly making a new friends base.
I am single now, having been divorced for nearly 15 years now, no children, just furry 4-legged kids who don't smoke, do drugs, talk back, hang out with the wrong gangs, or show up pregnant (unless planned)! I do a good bit of RV-ing, play golf, occasionally still scuba dive, and participate in a myriad of canine-related activities which compliment my current life. I don't know if I'll make the reunion, but I'll try and I'll look forward to seeing if I've held up as well as some of you have! I doubt it, but I'm happy with me and where I am these days, and hope you all are, as well!
