Today's Featured Biography
Jennifer Wilkins
Since graduating from Laney in 1993, I received a B.A. in criminal justice and sociology from UNCW and worked at the Wilmington Police Department as a police officer- imagine that! I loved it, but sometimes you can find better things to do than chase a bunch of criminals! I decided to go back to school for my master's and earned that in 2004. I recently earned another master's from ECU in criminal justice. I hope to begin work on my Ph.D soon. I also have aspirations of writing a book or two at some point. I started my own business in which I train dogs, pet sit, and provide transport. I operate my business mostly for fun, but my main profession is being an instructor/professor at Cape Fear Community College in the criminal justice department. Some of the classes I teach are as follows: Corrections, Civil Liability, Criminal Law, Court Procedures and Evidence, Law Enforcement Operations, etc. I would like to travel, but I can't seem to find the time!
