Today's Featured Biography
Martha (Martie) Wilson Krohn
If you look above at the kiddo list, it looks like two families. Andy and Josh are my biological sons, and folks that live in Omaha, may have had the pleasure of listening to Josh playing the fiddle in South Paw Bluegrass Band and more recently, Dirty River Ramblers. the second family starts with Zane, my oldest adopted child. I became a foster parent in 2006. I take teen boys aged 12-19 when they need a home. So we are a crazy mixed-up patchwork family. There are two other young men and two young women for whom I served as guardian during their teen years. So the total official number is 10, with two more, who have been reunited with their biological families, who call often to check in. I also have a lovely granddaughter who will be a year old in June. She has a sibling on the way in October.
As to what I do with my life? My living room is a wood shop. I teach a construction academy to high school students during the winter and Spring. I play bassoon in the Kenai Peninsula Orchestra, and once in a while, a sax or clarinet gig comes along. I teach and study Shotokan karate and recently received my 2nd black belt rank. I enjoy staying active, and during the summer, I can be found hiking, biking and camping in the wonderful State of Alaska, sometimes ranging into Canada.
Maybe more later since I won't be attending the reunion due to my work schedule. This will be the only way to catch up with me unless you link to FB.
