Today's Featured Biography

Leander Forsberg

Hi to you and all at the 53 reunion.

Unfortunately we are not planning to attend the 65th reunion. I am sure that unless you live close or with family still in the area chances of attending are not too good.

I have been retired now going on 18 years and when I retired in 96 would not have given you much thought that I would still be around till now. I am enjoying quite good health but take my opportunity to grab a quick nap now and then. It seems as though it doesn't take much for me to call it quits when working around the house or in the yard. We belong to Trend West Travel Club and spend vacation time using same. Most of our vacation time is near the ocean. That means for us the Oregon coast is a big attraction. We usually spend four or five weeks a year enjoying the area around Cannon Beach Oregon and Depoe Bay Oregon up into Washington at Ocean Shores. Durwin and Lois as you know we are caught up in going to the ocean. After your trip here last Sept. I know you liked it also.

We are going the end of this month for about twelve days to Stephanie Inn at Cannon Beach and Seaside Oregon. Then have a week in June planned at Gleneden Oregon and another week in August back to the Waves on the ocean at Cannon Beach.

We are both very active with our church and Connie is involved with Christian Women and her college sorority. I still work about twenty hours a month at our local high school stadium that is home to four high schools. So am involved somewhat with the younger generation.

It just doesn't seem like all those years since PHS was an important time and place in our lives. I would love to spend a day there watching if you could time lapse Plainview to a day like we used to spend in dear old Plainview High.
