Rebecca Kennedy Schenker

I am a registered nurse, I reached a peak in 1994 placing PICC (peripherally inserted central Catheter) Which threaded from the inner arm to the heart), Confirmation of placement was done by reading Radiology XRAYs. I was as the Head Nurse for a Nutritional specialist in 3 different hospitals and in the Private Practice. I was working 80hr work weeks at one time and making almost 55,000. /yr. (not much now a days). I married in 1991, 1997 I had my first child(Natalie) at the age of 35. At that time I quit my career to raise my children. In 1999, I had my second child(Eric). In 2001 It was not meant for me to have anymore children, considered adoption, too expensive!!! Went into full blown Menopause at the age of 39! My Marriage became a little "Rocky" but we survived after some well needed, counseling and some deep self awareness, including being an adult child of an alcoholic. Due to confidentiality and respect for my husband, I will not say what his issues were. My Marriage with my Husband, Eric, has been Educational, an eye opener, and the best thing that ever happened to me. We are better people and we are better together than apart. I am grateful to have gone through those trials and tribulations which has built our Characters of who we are today. My kids are now, 17 and 18. My husband had taken over his father's business.
When I was in High School, It was a struggle emotionally due to my family life. I was very shy and did not want anyone to know what kind of life I really was living. Abuse in all forms from an Alcoholic Father. We came home to no one and fixed our own meal and did chores. It was a hard life and I have survived. I can't say the same for my brothers and sisters for those of you who knew them? I am revealing this now because my past was an important part of the person I am today. I have helped and saved many lives. I have a big heart, with a lot of love and mercy to give. I do believe that our lives are chosen for us before we are even born, I believe in the Good Lord who has always been a presence at a very young age. I continue to Nurse as a Per Dium Nurse for five Board of Educations and a Speech and Hearing School for Pre-School Children. I enjoy my job very much. I get to travel to for the Schools and tend to the Students as needed. I cannot complain, I keep God in my Life, and I praise him almost everyday for the life I have.
