Narrative:
I'm the only Entertainment Engineer I know who was ever under simultaneous non-disclosure agreements (1986-87) with Apple, Compaq and IBM; I'm also the only AVL Multi-Image Engineer to ever project a live show in the Asian Arts Building of the DeYoung Museum (1986) in G.G. Park; all during my tenure at McCune. While the Director of Operations of Specialty Computers, I wrote the first commercially viable network-stack for Windows (3.0) while I was a consulting engineer at St. Mary's Hospital. The St. Mary's Hospital Foundation needed to be able to run PageMaker 2.0 from any Novell workstation on their floor. PageMaker 2.0 required Win 3.0. I called Novell, Aldus and Microsoft, inquiring as to how I might get that done. Each informed me that, 'I couldn't get there from here!' Having already consulted to Microsoft twice while at UCS in Berkeley on how to build a network-stack; I went ahead and executed on my own instructions and published my results to the Novell BBS, "Fire'n'Ice", from my account-name, "Fathom." Microsoft hired me a Third time to consult on just what it was I had done to make this work. They should have listened better when I told them how to do it right. The, "Registry," was NOT! my idea. Period! I put all I needed up in the environment using, "Set." ( ;-}> Those were different times . . .
