Erica Pascal
I'm a lawyer in Chicago for a not for profit organization that builds affordable housing. I have spend my law career in the not for profit world of community development. Not an easy place to be right now.
I started college at Smith College in western Mass. Took about 2 months to realize I was really a City kid and Smith was not for me. My parents did not like my radical leanings, so they sent me to Israel for my soph year. Came back from that 2 weeks after Kent State and decided to drop out of college, move to Boston and get a job. Finally finished at Boston U and then moved to DC and worked for a Congressman while I waited to see if any law school would have me. Chose Northwestern Law in Chicago because as a true New Yorker I had no idea where Chicago was. I've been here since 1973.
I've been married for 26 years to an architect. We have a house in Chicago (yes, really in the heart of the City, near the lake) that Richard designed. Kids are mostly gone now. Andrea is an artist living in Brooklyn and working at a craft gallery. She just gtot back from a year long trip around the country in a camper with a friend, and before that living in Barcelona for a year. I'm very jealous - I went pretty much straight thru with education and then to work - wish I had been more of a hippie. Garrett has a Masters Degree in Bio-Chem and does something I don't understand at Argonne National Labs near Chicago. Tyler is taking a year off from college right now to figure out his life.
I plan to retire on my 60th BD (if the stock market will let me) and travel (to some place where the $$ is worth more than a penny). I am an avid quilter and someday I will have my quilting web site done for all to view.
