Cecilia Winston Florén
Born Washington, D.C. in 1943 to Anna Erika Boberg, wife of Robert Alexander Winston; 2nd child, first daughter; two brothers, one sister; lived in McLean, Virginia till 1958, then moved to NY in attended Fox Lane High School, graduating in 1961; attended Briarcliff College (now Pace University) in Briarcliff Manor, NY , graduating in 1963 with A.A. degree, Art Major and English minor; received Lady Irwin College Exchange Scholarship for year of independent study in New Delhi, India from '63-'64; upon return, began working at FORTUNE MAGAZING at TIME INC in 1965, moved up to assistant art director for SPORTS ILLUSTRATED; went on photographic safari in Kenya and Tanzania for two months with group of Swedish scientists; returning home via Sweden, met future husband, married in 1971, moved to Sweden, had a son Robert Patrik in 1972, worked for 4th largest daily newspaper UPSALA NYA TIDNING, and the reknowned environmentalist/geneticist Bjorn Gillberg for a year, before moving back to the US in 1979; worked for the think tank HUDSON INSTITUTE for 7 years in Croton on Hudson; divorced in 1985; worked for Reader's Digest from '91-'93, then freelanced as graphic designer till 2000; started SeeTheeEarth Photography (Greeting Cards) in 1998; moved to Chesterfield, Missouri in 2001; continued developing SeeTheeEarth to present day. Currently live with Robert E. Lindberg, one dog and one cat, specializing in photographing the natural world, people and animals, and creative writing of poetry, essays and articles.
