Today's Featured Biography
Linda McClary
After high school I went to Cobleskill and Cortland and ended up teaching in Syracuse and Gloversville, NY for a period of time. I then moved to CT in 1980 and taught Health Education in both Westchester County, NY and Fairfield County, CT. I pursued my master's in Clinical Social Work from Fordham University and started a docotral program at NYU in Sexuality. I never finished at NYU as I was able to start our family. We have two children who are now in college.
Currrently, I am working for the Westport Board of Education teaching Child Development and Child Psychology. I am director of Staples Nursery School which is a lab school in the high school for the Child Development classes. It has been a great experience mentoring students who would like to become teachers, social workers or pediatricians.
When our kids were young, we were able to live in Ireland for a bit and simply loved that experience.
We feel very lucky that we are able to enjoy our summers up at Paradox Lake, NY with family and friends.
