Denise LeFrak Calicchio

Denise began working professionally in real estate 1986. Born into a prominent real estate family, her growing up years consisted of blue prints, floor plans and contracts. Denise was employed in the family business for several years and graduated Syracuse University with honors before pursuing the Manhattan world of real estate on her own.

As a specialist in Manhattan real estate at Sotheby’s since 1991, Denise has represented exclusive New York properties and built an excellent reputation as a broker who knows how to close a deal!

Denise’s many interests include charitable and cultural pursuits. As a Trustee of Marymount College, Denise is active in setting and maintaining the high standards of post-secondary education. She has served on various committees and boards including The New York Philharmonic, Development Committee of ABT Lincoln Center, Member of the Women’s Bank Advisory Board, Secretary of the Board of Directors for Tenant Committee, Executive Member of Metropolitan Museum and Guggenheim, Chair of the Cerebral Palsy Dinner, Fundraising Committee for Schneider’s Children’s Hospital, Chair for Glaucoma Foundation Benefit, the Executive Board of The Albert Einstein College of Medicine and The Photography Committee of the Guggenheim Museum.

Recently, Denise joined as a Board Member of the Cancer Research and Treatment Fund, raising money for Cancer Research. She travels extensively with the Guggenheim Museum and her museum involvements also include serving as the Co-Chair of the Patrons’ Circle of The Guggenheim Museum and participating as a member of the Art and Museum Committee and also the International Director’s Council.

Denise recently published a book called "High Rise, Low Down", an insider's glimpse into the exclusive real estate market in New York City.
