Julie Bishop

I graduated from the State University of New York at Purchase in 1991, with a degree in anthropology and photography. Worked in the human services world for five years before becoming a universal and sustainable interior designer; creating healthy and sacred interiors and assisting manufacturing companies with their product lines.

Worked my way up the corporate ladder as Vice President of a commercial design firm before starting my own firm. After becoming a mother (my most sacred role), I also became a nationally certified massage therapist and energy healer who loves working on family and friends.

After leaving Baltimore and moving to the Berkshires, I went back to school and became a certified Integrative Coach (TM) , training for several years with spiritual leader Debbie Ford at the Ford Institute. Currently I focus on coaching individuals with their relationships & inner courage while they are going through major life transitions. Helping others redesign and create joyful and fulfilling lives as well as creating new healthy interiors. I run workshops, am active with speaking engagements, and hold mini- retreats in addition to my private and group coaching.

Outside of work, my favorite pastimes are spending quality time with my kids, my friends, partner, and pets. Hiking, kayaking, traveling, swimming, photography, enjoying varying cultural activities and taking in all the beauty and joy life has to offer. We all experience the downs and difficulties in life, and I have my share of those too, but choose not to give that too much focus or attention in a bio. I will say, those times have made my life richer, deeper, and are the very catalysts for all the yummy stuff I have going on.

Those times have taught me the gift of receiving and surrendering. And most importantly, I've learned the depth of my inner strength which enabled me to transform the chaos, pain and struggle that comes from divorce, temporary inability to work and losing almost everything into an amazing new life filled with supportive friends, family and new opportunities. The real honor and best part is that I now get to help others do the same.
