Today's Featured Biography
Jack Korthals
A brief update: Hurricane Wilma (Oct. 24, 2005) destroyed the office so I moved on March 1st to 700 East Atlantic Blvd., Suite 200, Pompano Beach, FL 33060. Seven blocks west of the old office.
Susan and I had our first child, Lars, on March 10, 2006. I still seem to be growing older, but not up. Starting again at 58! And I thought Lavigna was crazy.
Daughter Kate followed up with my first grandchild, Ella Dalton Earley, on March 17, 2006, Pop and Grandpop in a week. Priceless!
Just heard from Stegura. Ladies watch out he's coming to the reunion!
Old News:
It is apparent from Mike's bio that one need be no more honest than our nation's chief executive. You see, I have endured the old Kasaba melon through Lincoln and Shore and EHS. We shared space in old Park Hall at THE Ohio State University, where Kadunc and I put up with Mike's Klan Period.
We entered the Fraternal Era in Phi Delta Theta and spent days together at the Char Bar, at least until Mike went on a crusade and discovered Christ. Tom DeLay would have been proud. Yes, we were in the Jesus Period. I don't believe Mike's assertion that he was in a fog. His mind was just in a higher place. Whatever.
We squandered four or five years in Columbus, married (not to each other Gould), then ventured off to law school. Thus started the Learned Period. I found the process somewhat unsettling. They actually required me to buy books, read them, and remember what was inside. A new experience I was able to endure at poolside while attending the Univ. of Florida. Mike found it somewhat less inviting at Ohio Northern in January.
Today I live beside a golf course in Pompano Beach and fish abit when the mood strikes. I actually attend the office from time to time. I have the pleasure of having a chuckle or two with Bill Walsh, Bill James and Richard Stegura. I had a laugh tonight with Lavigna. It's been far too long.
Over the years I have weathered many of Mike's hair brained ideas. Tonight he surprised me. Why not a reunion cruise? He asked. Well, why not. For those of you who have never seen the ocean and fear sharks, take heart. Think of Erie without terds. Sharks can't leap even to the cheap suites and have a natural aversion to the hot sands of Paradise Island. Why not let Mike hear your thoughts? Besides, we probably qualify for senior discounts. I do not believe I want to be stuck alone with Lavigna on the Italian Early Bird Pasta deck.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
