Jeannie Butler Evans

Hello everyone, I’m so glad Lisa told me about this site! I’ve had a lot of fun reading profiles and looking at the high school year book pictures.

After HHS I continued doing the work thing, I just upgraded from my high school Sonic career.

• married Scott Evans from Choctaw, also my prom date. March we’ll celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary...my gosh!! I still love him too. This year I have been married for more than half of my life, crazy...who’d of thought!

• had our son Trent in March of 1989.

• had our daughter Kelsi in November of 1991.

• lived in Yukon for a few years and I worked for Owens & Minor medical supply company. I worked there for 5 years doing customer service and billing.

• got smart found better job at the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation and remain there today. OMRF is an excellent place to work and I’m so happy that I didn’t continue being unhappy with for profit commercial business. February I will have my 13th year anniversary. I’m the Program Head, Executive Assistant (secretary) and assist several other brilliant Ph.D.’s finding cures for disease. I mainly help with administrative stuff, financials and grant (funding) submissions.

• bought our first home and lived in MWC for about 9 years. The kids went to Carl Albert schools.

• started an S-Corp for trucking, my side job, my husband’s full time job for a little over 5 years. Also had 5 rent houses that we did all the work on. Kids were both on competitive baseball/softball teams during this period. I don’t know how we survived. Family life got to be too much so we dumped everything and now only work our regular jobs.

• moved to Jones to have land and be close to family. Ugly house we’re fixing up, but nice 5 acre lot.

• Trent graduated from Choctaw High School in 2007 (Hated Carl Albert so we transferred him). He now works for the City of Choctaw, goes to Vo-Tech for Business and recently got another job at McDonald’s...hey 50% off meals for family...that works.

• Kelsi my sophomore at Carl Albert High School makes good grades and is a cheerleader. She’s quite dingy like me but she’ll make it. They won State in Cheer this year, which makes the 10th time and the record for most times won by any school and any division. They took first at NCA Nationals last year and hope to do the same this December.
This is basically my life from the past 20 years...lots of heart ache and fun in the middle. I most definitely will be at the reunion, I think we should have one yearly :~) Be careful and see you there!

Update: My beautiful daughter Kelsi passed away November 9, 2012. This was the hardest thing we've gone through in our lives. Please pray for my family.
