Today's Featured Biography
Rob Kerby
Spent 11 years at the Tulsa World newspaper, then eight years in Florida in religious publishing where I wrote, ghostwrote or edited about 60 books.
Got caught in the middle of the Guatemalan civil war in 1978 and am still involved with a school for street kids there, Escuela Integrada Para Ninos Trabajadores, in Antigua, Guatemala. Bicycled across Argentina and Chile in 1980.
In 1990 moved to the rural Ozarks where I did consulting, taught college English and signed on as the executive director of a community non-profit -- where I still am.
My wife, Willa, and I have a 6,500-square-foot antique store geared for the tourist trade since we're on the main route between Branson, Missouri, and Eureka Springs, Arkansas. It's on U.S. 62, Main Street on the main square of little Green Forest, Arkansas. We're Country Rooster Antiques and Cafe. Across the street we're developing a 100-year-old grocery store into a bed and breakfast, the Guesthouse on the Square.
Started coaching soccer in 1972. Now in my spare time, run a 224-member youth soccer club, coach the Green Forest Junior High Tigers, and administrate the Green Forest High School Tigers -- which in their four years of existance have a 34-10-5 record and have been to state three times. I write about our soccer adventures for American Soccer News. Go to www.americansoccernews.net and scroll down to "Rob Kerby's Soccer Life."
For fun, I swim in Lake Table Rock during the warm months and kayak it the rest of the time.

"Just discovered your product today while trying to locate classmates ahead of our 50th reunion in 2020. The fact that you did this in a noncommercial manner in a world where everything has a price tag deserves recognition and respect, in my view.
Thank you and good luck in all your endeavors."
